My Google Adsense Pin, Finally!

Hi! Oh yes finally! After My second request my Adsense Pin finally find it way on my Philippine Address. My Mom texted me yesterday that I got a mail from Google, I excitedly asked her to open it up and message me the pin.

It made a request last month and it took almost five weeks to land our mail box, which is why my Adsense Ads are back, see up there and on your right it was them hee hee!

I wonder when can I have my first cash out?Hoping hoping.....

Sick away from home

Being sick is horrible enough, but sick and away from home is harder that I thought. Two weeks ago I experience some lower back pains and strangury, UTI attacks. I ignore the symptoms and just realize it after some frequent trip at the comfort room and I start to chill. I took some analgesic to ease the pain and fever.

Usually I consult Urologist when I experience this symptoms for some prescriptions, but as what I experienced last year, doctors here are unlike those in our country, it's not easy to consult specialist, you need to go to a family or a general doctor clad in lab coats first then, they will give a bag of antibiotics and if finishing it doesn't do the trick that is the time you will be referred to a specialist. I am not up to that again so I resort on just treating it myself the natural way, lots of water, cranberry and coconut juices, good thing it helps.

I am not sure of their medical procedures here, maybe because I just trust my good old doctors back in my hometown who are readily available with just a phone call. I should send some gifts for them at http://www.blueskyscrubs.com as a gratitude.

Ease Summer Heat

Typical scene in our home this summer season, good thing SM offer 50% off on kiddie pool last March at least this kiddos can plunge in anytime to ease out the heat of summer.

Manila hit the thermometer at  35°C during summer with a very high humidity level, even three electric fan won't cool your body during these summer days.

Levi and my nephew stays as much as three hours wading in the water and each will demand two bottles of milk then doze for a good four hour of afternoon sleep.

But sometimes someone sneaked in at night hmmmm....

Vesak, Vesākha or Wesak Celebration.

Yesterday is a holiday, Vesak Day is what the calendar says, and what better way to spend it is a whole day of sleep, eat sumptuous tocino and longanisa (Philippines local ham and sausage) plus watch movies, quite relaxing for a six-day-a-week worker.

Wait what is Vesak Day? I am not sure if what it is, some say it is a Buddhist celebration, some say it is a Hindu's festivity, well it's my first time to hear about it and might as well do some reading about it.

According to some online dictionary and websites, Vesak or Vesākha is a Theravada Buddhist traditional yearly celebration of Buddha's Birthday, Death and Enlightenment. According to them, it was widely observed on India, Nepal, Banglades, Sri Lanka and East Asian Country like Singapore. It usually held at forth month of Lunar Calendar and falls April or May of Gregorian Calendar.

It was a celebrated with chanting of Monks and acts of generosity by giving help to needy, visiting temple to meditate and make some offerings, traditional freeing of caged birds and animals. Modern day generosity is done by youth by donating blood to the hospitals.

Buddhist traditionally end Vesak day in a silent candlelight procession  from streets and ends on the temple.

Had I know it earlier, I should have at least visit a nearby temple anyway there is still next year.

Barthroom Queen

Bathroom Queen (Banyo Queen) is what friends tag me most especially those who go to shower after me, sorry dears, but it’s one of the habits I can’t help myself doing. And I will rather choose not eat in favour of one long bathing. Long shower for me is a form of relaxation, detoxification and a way of relieving the stress from a day of work. Doing it feels like rejuvenating my body and mind.
My husband sometimes finds it amusing that I can spend long minutes lathering and shampooing, although most of the time he finds it very annoying especially when I am the first one to hop on the shower room. He would always grumble on how can I stay on a confine space with very poor bathroom lighting for an hour and find enjoyment to it, and I would just respond that men don’t know what self pampering means and that ends our petty conversation.
I know it’s getting in his nerves and even opt to change our house plans, he revise to make way for a “his” and “her” bathroom. It was such a pretty idea at least I don’t have to rush and cut my relaxation and I get to decorate my own bath as much as I please. I am planning to put a vanity strip & lighting for a more dramatic effect and a chic torchiere floor lamps for some added drama, what do you think?

You Lose, Some You Gain Some

I had been absent here for some days, quite busy counting facade, beam and column which takes toll on my blogging these days, being a QS is no joke, now I know. Anyway, enough of my real work stuffs, if some of you noticed lately number of bars had been added on my top and sides as well as on the bottom, it's because finally Google approved my site. I excitedly setup various ads and testing widget from this part to that part to see if which fits well. I ended up having two Google widgets on my home page and ad links on some pages. Doing so I sacrifice some of my ads, but still retain my  Adbrite widgets, Nuffnung, CMF, Entrecard and Adgtize since these are ones I consider relevant in maintaining my blog both for trafficking and monetizing.

A little went wrong after some days, as my new ads start to gather up dollar values some seem to slow down and some even ended or cut even though my page views and traffic are still on same scale. It's stupid of me not to realize earlier that having number of adds from different company will definitely have an effect on earnings because there will have a competition if which will stand out to win attention from viewers and receive pay per click services.

I also added ads on my feeds, Do you think I am an advertisement addict? Oh I can't help it sorry, as much as I want to contribute something through blogging I am also saving up to fill the cost of the most anticipated (as for me) makeover of this blog which hopefully by the middle of this year, cross my finger then.

Food, Laughter and Poker Play

How do you relieve work stress? As for me, a long warm bath with a nice scented milk wash and tons of milk lotion after is enough to finish a stressful day. I occasionally pamper myself with foot spa and pedicure specially when the budget permits. Lately, I also treat myself with some ice cream of fruit yogurt to welcome the weekend.

Here at our home where we share a four room flat with some five other friends, laughter and foods, spontaneous talk and playing card games is our constant way of shrugging off work stress. We share our day experience and thoughts on dinner table, teasing and sometimes criticizing each other, but all with a laugh.

For some shopping, yoga, spa massage, intimacy, gardening, eating gourmet food or just by simply playing online games and website pokerstars is a better choice to lighten up their day.

There a lot to choose to choose if which form of stress reliever suites you better it may not be the same for some and it is up to you which of this forms will you choose as long as it helps you lighten up those loads and makes you prepare for the next day to come with able body and fresh mind.

I am 131,400th day old

Time runs so quickly, really, it was as if just days ago when I am wondering when how it feels like to be a teen then at teen I am wondering how it was being debutant and that I am wondering what it is like to be a free spirited young professional, how to be a wife and eventually be a mother.

I experienced almost everything a girl can imagine, but not all you expect turns out as what you imagine it was just like being a teen. There are a lot insecurities I had then, like my waist line would not shrink to 23 inches or my legs are not as perfect as others and that this stupid pimples keep on popping out specially on days like prom or date, lucky me don't you think (rolling eyes). I even got lured by those fashion magazines about being young professional, power dressing and all. I am so thick not to realize, what would I expect, finishing a degree where my career revolves in construction, building construction sites in particular where the word power dressing is proportionally equal to rubber shoes and jeans.

Sometimes when we share our experiences in life, we would just laugh on those younger days we had and it is true when they say that TIME WILL COME WHEN YOU WILL JUST LAUGH-YOUR-HEART-OUT  ON MOMENTS YOU CRIED ON THE PAST, BUT SURELY, TEARS WILL FALL IN REMINISCING YOUR HAPPY TIMES WITH SPECIAL PEOPLE IN THE PAST. I wish I could thank everyone I meet and shared my 131,400th day with, though facebook is there for some, but I think it is more wonderful to have an email direct marketing for those who are no longer here in this world. I have few friends and love ones whom I neglected then and I feel sorry not to be able to say thank you to them.

My Oh My Hair

My crowning glory is about an inch for a shoulder length, short for you, but not on me. This is the longest length my hair can grow comfortably, letting it grows more will just make it unmanageable due to fly-away. Plus my round as ever face would not match a longer hairdo and I am easily irritated when my hair stuck on my back and neck specially now that it is summer and I have no other choice, but to have it in ponytail or opt to trim it, I prepare the latter.

On certain occasion, I envy those girls who sport long beautiful hair and still feel comfortable. I wish I can have a HighHair experience too, but my hair won't allow it too even though I have natural brown, shiny and "bagsak "hair I don't have the patience on maintaining a long hairstyle.

Learning to say...

I had been anticipating to hear him say that, calling me "Mommy" and he does, a month before his first birthday. He was just starting to mumble words then, but I am so sure he utter that word during our playtime, mimicking his Didi (after I got pregnant my husband started calling me mommy).

This afternoon I called my mom, a routine I got used to, to check on them, she told me that he had gotten so attached to her already, he cries every time my mom was out of sight and that she now knows him as Mommy and me.... He would just point onto my picture if asked "San si Mommy Kayth?" (Where is Mommy Kayth?). I am not his Mommy anymore, but just Mommy Kayth. I am not so sure if what I felt, disappointment? A little maybe, hurt? Somehow, but one thing is clear that I missed him so much and I ached badly to be a mom to him again.

Maybe this is one of the prices I need to pay for being away from him, I know this is just the start, the first one and a lot more heart pinching thing to come. I heard stories of other OFW moms where their children won't come to them the first time of seeing them again, it was heart-breaking moment.

And Now You're Mine

Hubby just got a new cell phone, after the seller hand him his brand new  toy, I got hold of his existing iphone 4 and blurt out "and now you are mine". Hubby just laugh on my silliness and say "pinaglumaan ko na naman yan e" (I already used it) , but I don't bother as long as I have it and he pays the bill, yo!

My Current Status

I had been so busy these past months, finding a greener pasture for my son's future landed me here in Singapore, yup boys and girls! Kasai is now living in an HDB flat for the past two months now, my first time to live in a multi-storey apartment and outside the Philippines. Leaving my native land behind, leaving half of my heart (fighting back my tears sniff! Sniff! Sniff!).... But soon he will join us here we just need some time to gain financial stability.

Oh enough of emotional things, since I got nothing much to do right now and no little guy to run after, much as well re-polish this blog. Originally I am planning to create a new one besides my other two blogs namely My Life and My Opinion, but then I wrap up the idea and instead just spread my articles on these existing sites since I am still in the process of resurrecting them from the state of dormancy.

So for now my usual rants will be about being an OFW, Homesickness, adjusting a fast phase life her in the living city and off course online and offline GREAT FINDS!

Chinese New Year 2011

It is my first time to really celebrate CNY or Chinese New Year, last February first our company held an annual dinner for two reasons, one of course is the CNY and its BD's 20th year since it started its business.

It was held at the Ballroom of Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel where almost 260 people attended the event that includes staff and crew, clients, suppliers, bosses colleagues, and friends. We are allowed to bring a friend or family members, for me I tag along my hubby hee hee!

Meal start with traditional salad tossing or Yusheng or Lo Hei as an appetizer, what is it? As I asked some coworkers since I really have no idea why there is a big chopstick on the table, it looks like a drum stick to me, they told me that it will be used later for the salad. After it followed the Birds Nest Soup, Fried Chicken with sesame seed, yummy fried crab stick with pumpkin sauce, mushroom dish that taste like meat, Noodles and sweet poncans.

Raffle and games as held throughout the night, lots of cash, gift certificates, appliance and gadgets. Main raffle prize are cellphones, flat screen TV and an Ipad, luckily I pocket a minor prize of S$400 yeh!

Johnson's Baby Shower Launch

Back with my first blogger event courtesy of Nuffnang, it was held last 3rd of November at Manila Intercontinental Hotel in Makati around lunch time. Food is fine, but I hardly enjoyed since I was so overwhelmed seeing bloggers for the first time in flesh, it was like seeing a celebrity, I was stars trucked hee hee!

so star trucked... I only manage to take pictures of Phepot & Fedz back, I was so shy...

The event was hosted lively by Tricia Chiongbian and started with introduction of J&J’s main man Juan Carlos Garcia who share a piece of his fatherhood experience and introduce to all the Johnson’s Baby World of Firsts with theme “Unang Tibok, Unang Galaw, Unang Haplos”.

The Launch was also joined by very pregnant and sexy moms like Ria Tanjuatco Trillo with her third pregnancy, Lexi Schulze in her second, Marielle Santos Po in her Buena mano and Akiko Thompsons, but tle latter was not around. The ladies share their experiences in pregnancy, how one can stand “paglilihi” phase and motherhood as general.

The last part of the event was a game for three single ladies (not mother yet) where they experience a make-believe child care from bathing to dressing up a baby, oh nothing to worry no child was drowned since they only bathe a doll hee hee!

The best part of it, we got to take home some goodies, a basket full of J&J products and some souvenir tokens from Akiko and Marielle’s Baby Shower.

I had a great time and thanks to Nuffnang and Johnson’s Baby.

My First Blogger Event

Finally I got a time and courage to attend a blogging event, it was the Johnsons and Johnsons Baby Shower Launching Event. I get to meet bloggers and I am happy that they all welcome me cheerfully.

I am just so excited that I made this post this early, I will post the pictures and some other details this coming days. I also made a courage to introduce myself to one of my favorite idol blogger after standing for minutes waiting for her to turn on her back so I can smile and say "hello".

Happy Halloween and Little Fears

Halloween is almost here, how cute are those kids in costumes and it will be fun to dress up my Levi with those vampire or monster costumes and I just remember Costume Party is out, Cosplay is in hee hee!

As a I mentioned I love to dress up my son with those little cute costumes, but the thing is, besides being expensive, he is quite frighten on a lot unfamiliar things to him right now. I had read somewhere that at age of 21st month children start to develop some frights on things and after a "root cause analysis" (yes that deep hmm..) I remember a few weeks ago when he screams out of nowhere because a spider drop and crawl on his arms maybe that is the incident that risen his fear on weird things around him. Another one is the cockroaches he stops, runaway or change direction unlike before he chases and tries to pick it up (its yucky!).

I am not sure if he is learning the right thing, but right now I am contented that is he not fond of those insects and a little worried that this may affect his playful nature.

And since he seems agitated on all costumes I tried on him we just settle on visiting some Halloween displays, maybe next year when is ready we will try on a spooky costumes, but for now only these...

Loans and Hospital Services

It has been a long for me... as with my announcement days before of my new WAHM life, I started doing work at home last Tuesday and it was quite okay, but I also run some errands for my hubby, pay his loans and contributions on Social Security System (SSS) and Pagibig Funds (HMDF) and I also need to go on my yearly monitoring checkup for thyroid and breast things.

It was pleasing though tiring to finally got to accomplish these things and I thank that SSS and Pagibig got some good and kind people now though Pagibig system are still not as updated as of what SSS got right now I was still pleasing that they are all accommodating.

I also got a chance to compare hospital service since we transfer I need to find a much nearer hospital to have my medical check up and I must say Makati Med not only upgraded their facility, but the service as well. I felt that the doctors got a real care for their patient. Sorry Madocs though you took care of me and my son the last time we are there, but I really felt the difference on how they treat their patients, as they say with TLC, 9 points for MMC!

Finally.... WAHM Almost.

Wohah! It has been a while since my last update, but slowly this coming days I will be more and more active again, finally after some persuasions and a lot of courage I finally got to be a Work At home Mom or WAHM yes! My company allowed me to work at home (with free laptop!) provided that I deliver what they require and just send everything through email. Though they still ask me to come to the office from time to time, but still I was already free from a daily routine of office days. Yipee!

Though there are still some setbacks like my monthly pay slimmed down to 60% from what I use to receive, no holiday pay, no leave but looking in the brighter side I still got to keep our health cards, Insurance and the company handles my SSS, Pagibig, PHIC and Tax remittances which pretty less of a burden to me.

Now my son got to have me every time he needs me (almost...), now I personally bathe him, feed him and play with him a lot.
